"Heathen", "Lively Up Yourself" and "Concrete Jungle" were not as common as the rest of the album on the tour, with 2 of the 3 more than likely played on any given night, but not always, and were only ever all played on the same night twice: at the Pinecrest Country Club in Shelton, Connecticut, 14 June and the Music Inn in Lenox, Massachusetts 18 June, which was one of the longest shows ever played by the band with 22 songs, but none were played at the Paris concerts. These are a pair 20-somethings who live life to the fullest and amazingly con themselves into the heart of the Iraq occupation.

Most people, despite the old adage, DO judge a book by its cover: I thought this would be a raucous, but interesting look at Iraq through the eyes of two "interesting" characters. Another thing I kept thinking while reading this book was "this sounds like something that my buddies Bill Parsons and Kenny Prodoehl would do if they were from Boston and 'completely' insane." Amazing. I recommend it for people who don't mind vulgarity (in all possible forms) and are interested in life in Iraq right after the 2003 invasion.Are you someone who went to school, got a solid job, is paying off a mortgage and saving for your retirement?
This is a story about two guys from the east coast who decided they were bored with the college scene (and considering their ages, it's probably a good thing), bored with the concert scene, bored with the stadium sports scene, bored with the tourist scene, and even bored with the backpacker scene. This book ain't about someone who makes such safe life choices. Start by marking “Babylon by Bus: Or true story of two friends who gave up valuable franchise selling T-shirts to find meaning & adventure in Iraq where they became employed by the Occupation...” as Want to Read: Published Sure, they'd go back to college at some point, but for now, the future was comfortably on hold.
The track "Kinky Reggae" wasn't played on the Kaya tour and in fact hadn't been played since the 1976 Rastaman Vibration tour, so it's unclear which concert this version is from. Citing Ray: "If we were the good news from Iraq, then the CPA had a problem."
In 2004! Not everyone sI thought it was going to be a travel book about two guys going through the Middle East ad it morphed into a story of two irresponsible (but well-intentioned) guys spending several months working in Baghdad during the latter stages of Bremmer's Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) as it slid into the brewing civil war and uptick in violence against American occupation. Some people are just lucky. Even if you take most of this book with a large dose of salt, it adds to an understanding of how badly the Bush administration botched things over there.
